Do you love DNS? Do you Wireshark? Tshark? tcpdump? snoop? BIND? PowerDNS?! IPv6?!! CHMOD?!?!

My employer is looking for a hard core dns person.

Some attributes we’re looking for…

  • Must be eligible to work in Canada (sorry!)

  • Must know DNS and all things tcp/ip.

  • We use these things. Linux, Unix, Solaris, F5, BIND, PDNS, IPv6, VMWare.

  • Job can be anywhere in the great white north. You pick where you want to work. Jettison your pants, because as long as you’re awesome, you probably don’t have to go to the office anymore.

  • Communication is key. If you’re going to work from home, you need to be able to communicate with people and document things.

PM me if you’re interested in more details.

Mods: Please delete this if it is out of line.

Options other than my ISP's DNS?

I am in the process of reading up on VPN’s and in doing so, stumbled upon the importance of having altered DNS servers. As of now, my DNS server is provided by my ISP, and I would like to change this. In addition, I would like to begin using a VPN, but that is a topic for another day.

Does anyone have any particular recommendations when choosing another DNS? I am running OpenSuse 13.1, not that it matters. Thank you in advance; any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
