TL;DR… NOTE: i am a sqllite noob and so this may be a dumb question: Does sqllite have any built-in replication functionality? sqllite seems to be file-based, with no “manager” process (like old berkleyDB/sleepycat), so i’m thinking not. Hi, old DNS guy here (since 4.9.3). I’m setting up pdns at my job, and I have … Read More “PowerDNS native mode replication with SQLLite/MySQL – rsync required, maybe?” »

Hi, I’m very new to messing with DNS, just a forewarning. I have a virtual machine running Windows Server 2016, and a client PC set to use it as its preferred DNS option (at the moment, it’s the only option for the sake of testing). Now, it is working as a DNS server, as websites … Read More “Name resolution?” »
Screenshots: https://ibb.co/album/0sZ02C GRC is saying my local router (pfsense running unbound dns resolver) is the fastest when it clearly isn’t from the output? It’s putting the cached at 0ms which is clearly wrong and I assume is how it’s weighting it’s recommendation? Considering I have unbound running in forwarding mode to Nextdns a cached response … Read More “Is GRC DNS Benchmark or am I? Please help explain it’s output. (screenshots)” »

We’ve got some DNS Forwarder IPs given to us by a web filtering provider, they used to work but recently stopped for no reason, other DNS providers, Google, 1. etc work fine – Infact when using say Google’s DNS, it appears the IPs from our filtering … Read More “Windows Server DNS Forwarder Problem” »

Hi there, I apologize if these are dumb questions and my terminology is off but I’ll do my best here. I am still learning and trying to wrap my head around everything. I have to do quite a few scans to essentially setup new zones in AWS Route53. I can usually do this without much … Read More “Best method to scan in existing records?” »
