Hi guys, how exactly ODoH Configs public key is supposed to be distributed? Isn’t it via HTTPS resource record? Every ODoH server I’ve checked is using the http .well-known/odohconfigs path and no DNS records with the key. submitted by /u/aa2211bb [link] [comments] Powered by WPeMatico

Any idea why these are non-authoritative?

I’ve tried similar zones in the name server, and they’re fine — everything is returned, and the zone is considered authoritative, but, this zone, though it’s all returned, is not considered an authoritative zone. This causes zone transfers to fail. — Bind.conf.optikons options { directory “/var/cache/bind”; // If there is a firewall between you and … Read More “Any idea why these are non-authoritative?” »

A friend and I run this free-to-use secondary, anycasting DNS server with 17 nodes around the world. Feel free to use it as a secondary for as many domains as you want. All of the servers are at commercial datacenters with IPv4 and IPv6 connectivity.

Can knot-resolver handle unqualified names?

Per subject. I have used AdGuard Home ever since it was in early testing. In AGH, you can specify that dnsmasq redirect queries for local hosts, domains or ranges (for example a lookup for local client laptop.lan) to the local dhcp server (likely the router), like this: [/lan/]10.0.0.1:53 However, you can also tell it to … Read More “Can knot-resolver handle unqualified names?” »

Novice. Concerned about large volume of certain domain request that I’m seeing via OpenDNS.

Hi, I wasn’t sure if this was the right community to pose this question to, but it’s the closest I could think of. I’m pretty new to network stuff, especially DNS, so please forgive me if I’m not explaining things accurately enough. I just set up OpenDNS and I’m looking at the Stats dashboard, using … Read More “Novice. Concerned about large volume of certain domain request that I’m seeing via OpenDNS.” »

Can’t get email to pass DMARC authentication, but SPF and DKIM authentication do work properly and pass. What changes do I need to make to my DMARC record?

I’m trying to send emails through Amazon SES using a FROM address of a subdomain of my domain (email.MyDomain.com). Although they pass SPF and DKIM authentication, they are not passing DMARC. Here are my DMARC test results from dmarctester.com (I replaced my actual domain name with MyDomain.com in the test results below): >> Running … Read More “Can’t get email to pass DMARC authentication, but SPF and DKIM authentication do work properly and pass. Hey /r/DNS 🙂 I’m making a DNS course for developers and I could use some feedback before I record everything. The outline of the course is on the pre-sales page at https://www.nslookup.io/dns-course/. Is there anything missing that you think I should include in the course? submitted by /u/ruurtjan [link] [comments] Powered by WPeMatico
