Hello, I am trying to create a DNS server on a Debian virtual machine, the problem comes when I try to use the nslookup command which gives me the error seen in the following image. I have checked with the checkzone command both directly and in reverse and it comes out OK. https://preview.redd.it/kmapqjkeh6xb1.png?width=737&format=png&auto=webp&s=43173bd615ee3c0fda67876872ce29e450c99a20 submitted … Read More “Network services DNS error” »

Is clientTransferProhibited possible

Is there list of which TLD support or don’t support clientTransferProhibited, clientUpdateProhibited and clientDeleteProhibited because not all of them do? Not all extensions have the ability to place a transfer lock. For example, most two letter extensions (country codes like “.fr”) do not have this feature. https://docs.gandi.net/en/domain_names/transfer_out/transfer_lock.html#transfer-lock submitted by /u/Beautiful-Log5632 [link] [comments] Powered by WPeMatico

I saw in a comment someone said NEARLY all registrars allow external DNS provider to be used. Are there examples of registrars that do not? From technical point of view how would they prevent it? submitted by /u/Beautiful-Log5632 [link] [comments] Powered by WPeMatico

Tagging /u/dnschecktool Following some extensive work with gluetun/ivpn/wireguard I’m running some DNS leak tests and I’m finding only one of the popular checkers is showing a leak: https://dnscheck.tools. That is, when running the test I see my ISP listed, my router’s address, and it’s associated PTR record. Of possible further interest, in running the same … Read More “DNS Leak – Firefox 118 only” »
