I thought I would share this here as there might be a few people who find it useful. I wanted to test out the EncryptedSNI functionality in Firefox, but to do so I needed to also enable DoH. I use my own resolver and didn’t really want to switch to a cloud provider for my … Read More “Self-hosted DoH Server” »

I am not a DEVOPS, but what options are there to set up a DNS so that I can leave the client domain reference alone (IP on their purchased domain name service provider) and potentially migrate the site and update the forwarding? Seems like this has been discussed previously. submitted by /u/moocycles [link] [comments] Powered … Read More “I would like to be able to move clients site reference while not logging back into their accounts.” »

I am very new to web servers and website hosting. Currently, my web server is being hosted on my VPN’s localhost. I was wondering if I could get a domain name for the VPN’s IPv4 address with a dns server so when I visit that domain, it represents the VPN’s IPv4. submitted by /u/EnderVolts [link] … Read More “DNS on Hamachi?” »

I’m trying to white label Amazon’s SES service for our company. What it does is generate a specific DKIM domain for each domain you want to verify. So it’s something like EXAMPLEGENERATEDSUB.dkim.amazonses.com . What I’m trying to do is whitelabel that for our company so that the domain will actually appear like EXAMPLEGENERATEDSUB.ourdomain.com … Read More “Alias/DName/ Whitelabeling DKIM for Amazon SES” »

Hi, I’m having trouble with domain registration & glue record configuration in Google Domains. I configured a domain, and configured two glue records (ns1 & ns2) which Google calls them “Registered Hosts”, pointing to the same IP. I waited two days for DNS propagation to complete, then setup Virtualmin in a server hosted in … Read More “Google Domains DNS Glue Records” »
