I am using domain blockers on my router to prevent ad trackers, facebook, google trackers etc etc. I have recently got a Homepod as a present and I would like to block it from contacting Apple servers. Does anyone know how this is done? Thanks! submitted by /u/Broodje_met_beleg [link] [comments] Powered by WPeMatico

Looking to use OpenDNS on home network. Router: Arris NVG448BQ I found this reddit post helpful with configuring router https://www.reddit.com/r/dns/comments/7wb41y/can_not_change_dns_in_arris_nvg443b_modem/ I tested browsing to https://welcome.opendns.com/ and the test passed. I also tested content filtering which worked too. What I didn’t expect is OpenDNS to affect the DVRs in the house. I was receiving 401 Unauthorized … Read More “Domain name resolution failed OpenDNS and Frontier Communications. Any suggestions?” »

What do I need to research to setup a single new support email address with receive & send capability via our old Google apps/gmail host for Gorgias helpdesk software, while maintaining our current mxroute email hosting for our other existing in-use addresses? I can only add one address to my Google apps as a grandfathered … Read More “Two email services on a domain?” »
In theory, one could have the following set of records at the .com nameservers: NS a.com ns1.a.com A ns1.a.com 1.2.3.4 NS b.com ns1.a.com NS c.com ns1.b.com i.e. no glue record for ns1.b.com. This would slow down name resolution for clients, since they would look up “c.com”, get “NS ns1.b.com”, then have to look up “b.com” … Read More “ICANN policy on glue records” »
