Is it a good idea to transfer a domain to an email id of the same domain?

Suppose, I have a domain “customdomain.abc” on namecheap. Is it a good idea to setup a namecheap account with an email id of the same domain like [“user@customdomain.abc](mailto:”user@customdomain.abc)” and transfer ownership of that domain to this new namecheap account. Sorry if this is a stupid question. submitted by /u/TheUltimateAnnoyer [link] [comments] Powered by WPeMatico

Hello guys, I wonder if there are any other norms then(pushing, harmful content), that will list the domains as dangerous content in Google Safe Browsing. If you reuse an SSL certificate of a listed domain, will impact the new domain? And if you have any way to protect the domain, I will be happy if … Read More “Google Safe Browsing” »

I’m a little unclear how or where I’m supposed to properly add DNS records when using a 3rd party DNS server. Domain: On namesilo (default DNS is dnsowl). However, I’m pointing that DNS to the one recommended by my webhost, let’s call it 3rdpartydns.com Web host: A shared webhost with WHM/Cpanel setup and a number … Read More “Shared host/3rd party DNS and adding MX, TXT, etc records” »

2 DNSSEC setups, different length dsset files?

I followed the same set of instructions setting up DNSSEC on BIND on two test domains – After I’d set them up, dnssec-verify seems to work, but the first domain’s dsset file has two lines – one with digest type 1 and the other with digest type 2, and the second one has only one … Read More “2 DNSSEC setups, different length dsset files?” »

Internal resources don’t resolve external subdomain

First of all, my apologies in advance for rambling through this question with only a basic understanding of DNS. I have a DNS issue with a work project, but I don’t manage DNS resources, so I don’t really understand what’s going on. I just need enough info to be able to request the correct setup … Read More “Internal resources don’t resolve external subdomain” »

Assuming that I have an Office365 instance with only my mail setup, will adding the MX record for office365 (At higher priority than the existing record) stop the others on my domain from receiving their E-mails?

Hi /r/dns! 🙂 Our startup uses simply.com for E-mail, and so far I have set up pop3 and IMAP connections to receive my E-mail. Now I want to switch to a full suite – like office365 – but my co-founders don’t have the same need. Assuming that only my E-mail is set up at the … Read More “Assuming that I have an Office365 instance with only my mail setup, will adding the MX record for office365 (At higher priority than the existing record) stop the others on my domain from receiving their E-mails?” »
