Lately, I’ve noticed that a cadant device is showing up in the traffic stats portion of my router with very little packets (maybe like 16) and shows at the gateway address. My question is this: Is this a DNS amplification attack or just normal communication between a non ISP managed router and ISP modem? Any … Read More “Back again with another question!” »

I was searching for a good family filtering dns, after browsing for a while I found cleanbrowsing to be pretty effective but turns out it blocks reddit too. I need something as good as cleanbrowsing that doesn’t block reddit. submitted by /u/Capital-Conflict-871 [link] [comments] Powered by WPeMatico

Hello everyone! Today I found strange values in CNAME records in the DNS of my domain. They seem like keys for something and they all have the “***.argus.eoidentity.com” value. To be honest I have no clue what those records belong to and I don’t know who added them to my DNS zone. I tried to … Read More “Odd values for CNAME records in my DNS – who they belong to?” »

We have our own public DNS servers in our datacenters and it seems that everyone just adds records to hosts with private IPs into our dns management tool that pushes out the record to the public zone file so anyone on the office network / vpn can access the private hosts. Then there is the … Read More “public and private records, office subnet fun” »

I have a domain which is managed by a company called 123-reg. They have a feature called “web forwarding”. In there you put your canonical domain, for example “mydomain.com” and you can set a redirect on that, like “mydomain.com” redirects to “app.mysite.com” for example. Now if I go to “http://mydomain.com” I end up at “http://app.mysite.com“ … Read More “Can “Web Forwarding” be used with SSL?” »

Forwarded emails go to spam frequently – TXT not working

I make many of my company’s email addresses forward to gmail addresses. For some of the email addresses, many of the emails go to spam, often after quite some time. To clarify, the sender ([sendersemail@outlook.com](mailto:sendersemail@outlook.com)) might send something to this email: [store1@domain.com](mailto:store1@domain.com). This is automatically forwarded to [store1@gmail.com](mailto:store1@gmail.com), where it lands in the spam folder, … Read More “Forwarded emails go to spam frequently – TXT not working” »

Hey all. I’m working through an issue where some emails from our domain are going into customer spam folders or marked as spam from their spam detector. We have Bluehost as our website host and Office365 for mail.
